Early Bird Registration

The Eaton Area Park & Recreation District would like to show appreciation to community members who register early! Early Bird Registration allows a $10 discount to published program pricing. In addition, regular registration will be offered as usual. Early Bird Registration will typically be one week prior to Regular Registration.

It can be very difficult to form teams, finalize rosters, communicate information with coaches, order extra jerseys, update invoices, etc. when late registrations occur. The season timeline (listed above) is difficult to follow with the number of late registrations that are processed every sport, every season. The Eaton Area Park & Recreation District strives to serve the community and offer programs of interest in any possible way. Early Bird Registration allows you a program discount and us the ability to manage programs effectively…a win/win for all!

3rd Grade and Up

Teams will be formed based upon a request system and by the Recreation Coordinator. During registration, parents/guardians will have the opportunity to make 1 of 4 requests:

1) Coach Request – A request for the participant to play on a specific coach’s team. Please confirm with the coach prior to registration that he/she is in fact coaching this season/sport/age division. The Eaton Area Park & Recreation District will not provide a list of coaches.

2) Player/Friend Request – A request to play on the same team as one specific player or friend. If you request more than 1 player or friend, the first listed will only

be considered.

3) Practice Days Request – A request to practice on a specific day or time. We do our best to accommodate these requests, however each coach selects the team’s practice days and times.

4) No preference

If requests for any preference, whether it is a certain coach or a certain player/friend exceeds the amount of roster slots, priority is given based on registration date and time. We will attempt to honor all requests, but retain the right to deny any request to maintain team equality. Therefore, requests are considered and not guaranteed.

2nd Grade and Under

Teams will be formed based upon the specific activity number associated with the registration. Program requests will not be offered for this age category, however, it will be possible to request a practice day.

Age/Grade Determinations and Playing Up/Down

The age/grade at the start of the season determines the age/grade bracket for the program.

Participants are not typically allowed to play down an age/grade level, though special circumstances will be considered. However, you may apply for your child to play up ONE age/grade level. Please download and fill out the request form and return the form to the Recreation Coordinator, Caryl Abeyta, at carylabeyta@eaprd.com. Please allow one week to process.

Uniform Sizes

If the program fee includes a uniform for any specific program, sizes will be placed based on size given. If the size given and ordered is not satisfactory, and the order was at no fault to the Eaton Area Park & Recreation District, the individual will be responsible for ordering and paying for a different size on their own. All uniforms will be ordered through Monarch Promotional Designs. Sample sizes are available in the Eaton Area Community Center.

Any questions regarding uniforms should be addressed to Monarch Promotional Designs at  970-454-2727.

Volunteer Coach Recruitment

Volunteer coaches are always needed! Please contact carylabeyta@eaprd.com for additional information about becoming a volunteer head coach.

Head Coach Incentive

Volunteer coach incentives for Head Coaches only - a free party room rental in Party Room B (only) will be offered to the committed Head Coach! This party room rental must take place on a week night. Please contact carylabeyta@eaprd.com for additional information about head coach incentives.

Inclement Weather Hot Line

Every attempt will be made to allow practices and play games; however, if field and/or weather conditions present an unsafe environment for participants, spectators, coaches, officials, and/or staff, we will postpone or cancel practices and games. Field supervisors are instructed to err on the side of caution when it comes to inclement weather decisions.

Weather information can also be found at www.quickscores.com/eaprd. Weather information will be updated by 4:00 pm on weekdays or 8:00 am on weekends. There are three

situations to look for:

• All games and practices are being played as scheduled.

• All games and practices have been canceled.

• All games and practices will be held at the coach’s discretion. (In this case, please assume that practice is being held unless you hear differently from your coach.)

Waiting Lists

Waiting lists are a source of contact and do not guarantee you will receive a call back. We will contact you if a space becomes available. Waiting lists for a closed class or sport provide us with contact information and do not limit you from registering for any other open class.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available for eligible participants. A Scholarship Request Form must be filled out in person at the Eaton Area Community Center prior to registration. Applications must be submitted and pre-approved before registration. For more information, please call: Caryl Abeyta, Recreation Coordinator: 970.893.1217.

Refunds/Account Credit

A refund request must be filled out at the Eaton Area Community Center. A refund will only be granted during the registration dates for the program requesting the refund. No refunds allowed after the registration deadline. Refunds may require up to four weeks to process and are mailed to the address on the request form. Full refunds are given if a program is canceled; it does not require a request form. Please contact carylabeyta@eaprd.com for account credit options.

They will acquire athletic skills and fitness but also develop an interest and love of sports. Programs run 50 minutes and meet once a week for 4 weeks at a time. All programs are $54 and include a t-shirt and an award. You can register for Supertots at www.supertotsports.com and search the Eaton location.
