Pool Closure - Updated November 8, 2024
November 8, 2024
Since our last update, we’ve had productive site visits with our trusted partners Myrtha Pools, FCI Constructors, and Prestige Aquatics. These companies are working closely with us to assess the situation and recommend the best course of action for repair and improvement. After conducting video scoping, we’ve confirmed the presence of one leak in the pool's system. Per their direction, our team is continuing to investigate, and work to identify additional leaks which are likely contributing to water loss. Further tests and analysis are being conducted to pinpoint any other potential problem areas at this time. Once these tests have been completed, we will provide further updates to the community.
In the interim, we’re excited to announce that Water Aerobics with Pam is now available at the Eaton Middle School pool on Saturdays from 9am-10am! In addition, we welcome anyone interested in Saturday morning private swim lessons (hosted at Eaton Middle School until further notice) to join our waitlist by email aquatics@eaprd.com.
We sincerely appreciate the patience and understanding of everyone in the community as we work through these challenges. We understand how this disruption has effected our loyal patrons and we’re dedicated to getting everything back to normal as quickly as possible. Your support is invaluable, and we thank you for being part of our community.

In our previous update, (please see video below) we mentioned our progress was halted waiting for a specialized piece of equipment from overseas. The specific part was received and utilized for deeper investigation into the source of the pool leak. During the evaluation, there were no conclusive findings, which has led us to continue our exploration into the cause before beginning repair efforts. At this time, our team is continuing to work with experts from around the United States to identify the source of the problem and determine the necessary steps for resolution. At this time, we are still navigating the unknown and do not have a way to provide an accurate estimation of a re-open date.
We understand the importance of the pool to our community and appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this challenging situation. Please know that we are dedicated to resolving this issue and continuing to provide excellent aquatic programs to the community.
We will keep the community updated with any new developments and are thankful for your support.

The closure of the EACC Pool will extend into the foreseeable future as we work to identify the cause of the significant water loss from the pool. Our Aquatics and Facilities staff are collaborating with several reputable companies to explore all potential solutions using complex diagnostic techniques.
Current EACC memberships and punch passes will be accepted for admission into the pools at the Greeley Family FunPlex (1501 65th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634) and the Windsor Community Recreation Center (250 11th St, Windsor, CO 80550) for the duration of our closure.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue.

August 19, 2024 Update
Beginning Monday, August 19, the EACC pool will remain closed indefinitely. Sunday, August 18, after the maintenance closure was complete, a spontaneous, large leak was discovered by staff during final inspections before the pool reopened. The pool has lost 4 inches off of the standard waterline level in only 24 hours with no obvious cause. Staff is currently troubleshooting all possible avenues to find the root of this water loss. Please rest assured it is our team’s top priority to reopen as soon as possible. This page and our website notification banner will be updated with a reopening timeline as soon as any information is available.
Thank you for your patience.
